It would appear that ‘Awards Season’ is upon us in the cleaning industry. Or at least ‘Awards Announcement Season’ is upon us, as this month we’ve had several announcements from a number of organisations within the cleaning world about their newest awards programmes.

To start with, the CSSA has declared that it is launching a new awards programme celebrating the ‘Best of British’, designed to commemorate the finest work that UK-based cleaning and FM companies have to offer.

Elsewhere, Kimberly-Clark Professional has announced a re-launch of the prestigious Golden Service Awards programme for next year, with the new awards ceremony scheduled to take place in March 2018.

There are also updates from the Loo of the Year Awards, the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners’ Military Awards, AND from the ISSA Hygieia Network Awards, whose winners were announced at the ISSA/ INTERCLEAN North America exhibition in Chicago last month.

4 | Tomorrow’s Cleaning

It’s all great news for the industry, especially if it means that cleaners on the front lines are getting the praise that they so rightly deserve.

Elsewhere in this month’s issue, we’ve got a special, exclusive interview with Anna Königson Koopmans, European Marketing Manager for Tork Solutions at SCA, as we talk all about the new Tork Easycube, the ‘Internet of Things’ and how technology is taking over the cleaning industry. It makes for a fascinating feature so be sure to check it out in our Technology section.

I hope you enjoy the issue – thanks very much and happy reading! EDITOR’S VOICE
