KALEIDOSCOPE Karndean Designflooring
Karndean Designflooring unveiled its most innovative and highly anticipated exclusive Kaleidoscope collection at Clerkenwell Design Week 2016.
Designed specifically to offer unparalleled flexibility for architects and interior designers looking to create a unique floor design, Kaleidoscope features six designs as standard including Cubix, Pennon and Apex.
The collection contains popular shapes and patterns, such as hexagons, chevrons and cubes to name but a few, that can be cut in a number of colour combinations across Karndean’s established wood and stone designs. Kaleidoscope also introduces block colourways, giving designers the ability to specify bright colours against wood and stone for added visual interest in commercial and residential spaces.
Matthew Speck, Head of Commercial Sales at Karndean Designflooring, said: “We’ve always been recognised for our designs that bring the beauty of wood and stone to flooring, but with much greater flexibility and ‘workability’.
“The tiles and planks, combined with borders and inset strips, can be formed into many ‘standard’ designs; but Kaleidoscope designs push this to a new level of design, allowing complete freedom for unique shapes, sizes, colour combinations and patterns.”

KERATECH ECO R10 Kerakoll UK
Keratech Eco R10 from Kerakoll UK is a self-levelling compound for use in thicknesses between 1 and 10mm; so suitable for floors with smaller variations.
It makes use of Kerakoll’s proprietary HDE (High Dispersing Effect) technology to quickly develop a smooth finish and high levels of mechanical resistance: its compressive strength after 7 hours is ≥15Nmm2 ≥30Nmm2
and after 28 days. Abrasion resistance is ≤200mm3 after 24 hours. The compound is certified EC 1 plus (GEV-Emicode)
meaning that it has very low VOC emissions. It has a long self-levelling time of at least 20 minutes but sets very rapidly allowing foot traffic after approximately two hours and coverings to be laid after 12 hours. The flat, even coverage that it provides makes it perfect for use as a substrate for laying extra-large tiles.
