INITIO Milliken
INITIO is Milliken’s first collection to be supplied with a hard-backed system. This innovative new range is made possible by the development of Function Plus hardback technology which offers a lower cost alternative to Milliken’s existing cushion-backed carpet tile collections.
Milliken’s global team of research scientists developed a unique chemistry for Function Plus, which provides enhanced dimensional and thermal stability and a product which is over 10% lighter than other hard-back carpet tiles on the market. This means that carpet tiles with Function Plus backing are more flexible, easier to handle, effortless to cut and simple to install, saving time and money.
INITIO is made up of three practical and easy to use designs: ‘Incline’, ‘Section’ and ‘Shift’, along with a plain co-ordinating design called ‘Level’. Twelve different colourways are available, designed to work alone, together or alongside the plain ‘Level’ design. The range was designed and manufactured in the UK to fit the brief when practicality and affordability are high on the agenda.
Much of the collection is available on Milliken’s 48-Hour Quick Ship programme, where up to 500m2 per
colour is available for despatch within 48 hours. The remainder of the INITIO collection is available on a 10 Day Quick Ship programme.
INITIO Function Plus is produced in an ISO14001 certified facility in Wigan, UK using materials compliant to GUT criteria and locally sourced wherever possible. INITIO Function Plus is CRI Green Label Plus and GuT Certified. Responsible end of life re-use is assured with the option to return used INITIO Function Plus carpet through Milliken’s ‘Carpet Take Back’ Programme.

Creativity isn’t compromised with iQ One – the collection comes in an extensive array of 38 colours and three non-directional patterns: Dusty, Classic and Misty to create wide ranging contemporary designs.
The patterns can be mixed and matched to create coordinated and harmonious decors, available with coordinated non-PVC welding rods for a perfect finish.
