ADOS’ FlexADOS 914 LON is a highly reliable measuring, control and warning unit for gas sensors. It continuously monitors the ambient air and provides an early warning of harmful, explosive and non- fl ammable gases and vapours. Together with the TOX 914 LON gas transmitters, FlexADOS 914 LON fulfi ls VDI guideline 2053 from December 2014 and also EN 50271:2011 (SIL 1).


FlexADOS 914 LON has been successfully used in a wide variety of applications, mainly in underground carparks and tunnels.


ADOS’ versatile unit can control up to 60 digital LONbus sensors (TOX 914 LON, LCTR 404 LON) with 5 alarm thresholds per sensor (Averaging from 1 to 60 minutes possible, 2 levels - fan areas - can be displayed), independently adjustable from 10 to 90% of the measuring range. It is easy to assemble and simple to use; there is a menu-guided setting of the device parameters using 6-part keyboard, a graphic LCD display shows actual values, mean values and faults in plain text and an indicator for operation, malfunction, maintenance or power failure. Users are offered a maximum of 14 potential-free changeover contacts to control further warning and control facilities and potential-free changeover contact for malfunction, maintenance and power failure.


The FlexADOS 914 LON is enclosed in an IP54 rated plastic wall housing, has very low power consumption and can operate with an uninterrupted power supply. Flexible and Future-Proof New Gas Detection Control System


The Dräger Regard 7000 is a state of the art modular control system for monitoring various gases and vapours. Its fl exible expandability ensures long term viability for gas detection systems of increasing complexity. In addition, it is backward compatible with previous Regard systems.


Dräger designed the Regard 7000 for a wide range of applications and confi gurations. It processes analog transmitter input signals supporting remote access via HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) in the near future. HART simplifi es installation, confi guration, maintenance, and documentation of the gas detection system. A Modbus RTU output is available for retransmitting gas detection data to higher-level systems. The most


demanding alarm logic sequences can easily be programmed, such as delays for process optimisation.


The system architecture of the Regard 7000 prevents the entire system from failing if one component fails (single point of failure). In addition, it is easy to add independent subsystems. False alarms are effectively reduced by optimised signal conditioning fi lters, manual alarm suppression, and the automatic comparison of analog and digital transmissions. Special analogue transmitter signals such as errors or warnings are indicated as text messages, making them easy for anyone to identify. A simple, easy to read menu layout with user-friendly icons simplifi es operation and increases your plant’s safety.
