HPLC Electrochemical Detection System Helps to Provide Accurate Adrenaline Analysis


Forensic examination of adrenaline involves the detection of trace concentrations, in order to acquire an accurate image of the circumstances leading to and/or possible prevention, of a criminal act. The method of detection must be sensitive, accurate, reproducible, selective, reliable and if possible, easy to use. In addition, as adrenaline is very closely related to noradrenaline and dopamine, detection techniques need to specifically distinguish each type of these catecholamines.

pulsed amperometric electrochemical detection Adept HPLC system, with its wide choice of working and reference electrodes is beneficial in the detection of catecholamines to low picogram/mL levels.
