‘Letters and photos are amazing’ W

You tell us what it is you like most about the Key

E had some great responses to our competition to win an iPad 2. In the last issue we asked what

you thought was the best thing about the Key. Mostly you liked the positive stories about

tenants, the information provided – and especially the letters page. John McCann, from Crookston, poetically

said the Key “radiates a helpful glow, where ideas blossom and energies flow.” Cath Ferguson, from Milton, was also

feeling poetic. She said: “The Key holds the ‘lock’ to all our community areas, joins us firmly, embraces us closely, united is the Key.” Louise Higgins, from Knightswood, said the Key has “something for everyone”, while Michael Stuart, from Chisholm Street, liked the fact the Key was “a community noticeboard”. John Cartledge, from Carntyne, said: “The

Key provides support to tenants in many areas of their lives, makes them feel part of something and that they are cared for.”

Yara Algharbi, from Townhead, said: “I don’t have many friends here so I wait for the Key every month and translate everything in it to know about the latest news and activities in Glasgow.” Alan Staines, from Garscadden, described the Key as “upbeat and informative”, while John McDonald, of Great Western Road, said the best thing was “hearing about readers’ success stories”. Jeanette Schofield, from Cardonald,

liked the stories about helping people, and

added: “The letters and photos are amazing, answering all letters of complaint.” Edward Duffy, from Castlemilk, said: “I

can’t help but think of the conditions we lived in when I was a young man” and added that the Key was “very informative”. First name out of the hat was Yara Algharbi. Congratulations to Yara, who wins an iPad 2. Thanks for all your feedback. We’ll try and do more of what you told us.

This Christmas KEEP SAFE

Home Safety

Keep your home secure - lock all windows and doors, set house alarms and timer lights.

Don’t leave gifts in view of the windows and keep cash in your home to a minimum.

If you’re going away for Christmas don’t advertise on social media; cancel any deliveries and ask a neighbour or friend to keep an eye out while you’re away.

If you’re having a house party with lots of guests make sure you know everyone who is there.
