Homeless packs GHA helped young people who used to be homeless teach youth workers and teachers about their experiences. GHA teamed up with the NHS and Glasgow Homelessness Network to develop packs produced by the young people on what would have helped them when they were homeless.

MILTON is blooming – thanks to the efforts of green-fingered tenants. Our local office in the area held its annual garden competition, with shopping vouchers for the lucky winners. Alexander and Elizabeth Morris, of Mingulay Street, won the best front garden award. They are pictured, top right, with housing officer Ashley McLean

and committee member Rachel Trainer. The best back garden award went to Marie Anderson, of Ashgill Road, who’s pictured with Rachel and John Trainer and Christine Smith from the local committee and Ashley McLean. Little Max and Aimee Kelly, of Castlebay

Drive, were joint winners of the biggest children’s sunflower.

...a gentle hand extended to you in your time of need. Earth to Earth…

Should a funeral cost the earth? The simple answer is no! Do families have a say in how a funeral is carried out? Of course they do! Janice Stevens believe funerals should be affordable to all, with no loss of quality or service provided. Costs should not dictate how well a family feel they can provide a dignified farewell to those they have lost.

They are committed to ensuring those you hold dear receive the best possible care in their hands at all times. Families don’t realise that they can work hand in hand with the funeral director, and that support and guidance provided by the director in making decisions, is how ultimately the family can feel happy and content with the funeral on the day.

Both Janice and Stephen believe in building a relationship with the family from the first moment of contact, right through to the day of the funeral.
