What kind of after sales support is there once the kit has been fitted?...

Maidaids support doesn’t stop once the machine has been delivered and installed, we strive to support users through the life cycle of the machine. Not only are our machines supplied with both maintenance and user instruction but Maidaid also offer on-site training to ensure staff know exactly how to operate their new Maidaid machine. Maidaid Halcyon equipment is probably one of the easiest machines to use in the market place, so training is very simple. One of the main training areas that is covered is on good daily cleaning and good housekeeping, as this will make the machine not only last longer but more importantly help to give better results especially on glassware, as a dirty machine will give poor results.

Maidaid equipment is supplied with warranty ranging from 1 – 3 years giving venues piece of mind.

In the unlikely event that your Maidaid machine breaks down Maidaids preferred service partner offer National Service Support, where calls are covered within 48 hours meaning a venues downtime is limited. Furthermore Maidaid endeavour to avoid unnecessary machine faults and engineer call outs by providing distributors and end users alike with support literature. We are currently developing a library of training/how to guide videos to ensure help is always at hand.

You have some strong relationships in the marketplace on the manufacturing front. Brema on the ice machine side of things being one. That must give buyers so much confidence?...

Maidaid’s relationship with Brema started back in 2002 and over that time it’s gone from strength to strength. Expanding the Brema ice machine partnership has given distributors and

end users alike the reassurance and peace of mind that they are buying a machine that’s been made by a manufacturer with worldwide quality accreditation. Supplying dual branded machines has further endorsed the Maidaid Ice brand.

How is the marketplace currently and has the looming Brexit had an impact at all? With spring now in full flow and a world cup summer to contend with, Maidaid will go from strength to strength one would imagine? ...

Many reports tend to suggest the immediate future is uncertain for the UK catering industry, with almost weekly announcements in both national and trade press of established companies having to restructure or raise investment capital to maintain their business profile the future would appear to predict a down term in business potential. There is one view that the UK tends to revel in negative news, but for Maidaid Halcyon the future is assured due to its determination to continue offering the market products they can rely on to provide value for money but continue to manufacture to the highest standards. Maidaid Halcyon has budgeted for 2018 quite prudently to ensure it can continue supplying the UK catering industry for another 40 years.

There are some real game changing pieces of kit in your portfolio, like the RX Evo and Pro ranges, not forgetting the FX Flight Machine, what a beast!! Where does the technology go from here?...

Maidaid Halcyon are actively studying new models to further enhance the range either by addition to or by replacing current models where real benefits are evident. The new models under test will if proven during trials reduce water consumption and therefore energy savings with additional benefits of

improved wash performance by redesigned wash and rinse systems and improved serviceability. One of the biggest model improvements on the near horizon is the reduction of different components across the range and in particular the control system. This has the advantage of reducing the number of different components service engineers have to carry on their vans and improve the ability to achieve a first time fix.
