At Lytchett Minster School we want our students to have a well-rounded education. For us, extra-curricular activities matter, because they provide enriching and memorable experiences for our young people.


Our students are fortunate enough to benefi t from many and varied clubs and activities, including chess, eco schools, sports and music clubs, to name but a few. We are also keen to work collaboratively with other schools within our pyramid.


Recently our musicians supported pupils from the local feeder schools as they worked together to put on a cross-phase music concert and a few weeks ago, a group of Year 5 students came over to the Manor for some practical science lessons in our laboratories. We would love to do more of this kind of thing, because we know that when the primaries and secondary school work together, everyone benefi ts.


Success rarely comes from working in isolation, but it is down to a combination of great


partnerships: students working closely with their teachers; teachers working closely with parents; students working closely and collaboratively with each other. It’s about bringing the best out of each other. We think we do this pretty well at Lytchett.
