How to Become a Volunteer! The Park District is always looking for individuals to give their time to help better the community. We have many different programs and special events that rely on volunteers like yourselves to run. You can pick up a volunteer application at the Belvidere Park district offices or just talk to one of our friendly staff members to get involved.

Special Olympics Coaches/Volunteers!
Are you interested in becoming a part of a rewarding organization such as Special Olympics? Join our team and become a coach/volunteer for the NASR Belvidere Park District Pirates! Volunteers play a key role in NASR Belvidere Park District Special Olympics sports. We depend on our volunteers to help coach, conduct competitions and participate in events alongside NASR Belvidere staff. All volunteers must complete the required paperwork and trainings prior to attending practice. How do I become a volunteer? Contact Katie Humphrey at 815-547-5711 ext. 14/

What sports am I able to volunteer for? NASR Belvidere Park District currently offers 10 Special Olympics sports: Aquatics (winter), Track & Field (spring), Bowling (summer), Softball (summer), Golf (summer), and Basketball (fall-winter) Bocce (Spring) Tennis (Summer) Volleyball (Summer). What does a volunteer do? Volunteers aid the NASR Belvidere Park District staff in creating a safe, structured, and fun learning environment for all athletes. We ask that all volunteers commit to the entire length of the sport’s season and be in attendance at any games, tournaments, or competitions.
