We will be updating both of our show sites—
nebraskapowershow.com and iowapowershow. com —as summer kicks off. We’re excited about that, too, because we serve over 900 companies at each show and spend a good portion of our year making each show better than the previous one.
There will also be other things coming your way... social media kits for each of our farm shows, more videos to repost and share on social media, more in-depth stories in
Retailer...downloadable photos, videos and library articles on our new website... webinars to help grow your business and better, integrated communications.
History evolves.
Check out the timeline below. Wow! As they say, “We’ve come a long way, Baby!” Our earliest logo is from 1900 when our association was the “Iowa Implement Dealers Association.” In 1944, Iowa changed to “Iowa Retail Farm Equipment Asso- ciation” and in 1950 they adopted another logo. Fifteen years later, both the logo changed and the name changed to “Iowa Retail Farm and Power Equipment Association.” Six years later, in 1971, that logo was simplified to “Iowa Farm Equipment Assocation” and the shape of the logo took on the state of Iowa. Concurrently, Nebraska’s first logo appeared in 1922 as the Mid-West Implement Dealers’ Association. After changing to the Mid- West Retail Farm Equipment Association in 1949,
Nebraska couldn’t resist logo changes in 1971 and 1973. Iowa and Nebraska joined forces in 1980, and we called ourselves “Iowa-Nebraska Farm Equipment Association, Inc.”
Up to this time, not much color was used when using our logo and logos at that time were very detailed in their depiction of farm practices and equipment. The name changed again in 1994 to Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Assocation and a full-color, graduated logo complete with line-art and a different background shape was added. And finally, since equipment keeps changing shape, we’ve decided to pull it out of our new logo and use solid-shaped, black and white icons to rep- resent who we are in different places such as the header on both the Retailer and RoundUp.
For us, the change to our logo is a new chapter in our history. A defining moment but certainly not the only one we’ll have.
Our lives are full of defining moments: Job chang- es. Kids off to college. New homes. Grandkids. Retirement. Dog-friendly work environments. Our employees are passionate about what we do and who we are—sharing innovative ideas, equipment expertise and helping you find real-solutions to fit your dealership.
So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started and find out how we can help you with YOUR defining moment and get you one step closer to achieving your goals.
