Day 8 Basseterre, St. Kitts. Boasting mountains of rainforests and glorious beaches, St. Kitts is the larger of the two Caribbean islands that form the nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. It was originally developed on the valuable sugar trade, and today, its capital Basseterre is a fascinating place to wander. On your included tour, take in its colonial-era, Georgian buildings and Independence Square, once a former slave market. You can also step back in time at Fairview Great House where you can explore more of the island’s history, and stroll around the tropical garden, with its fruit trees, palms and exotic flowers. Or take an optional island safari drive that includes a visit to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. Approx: 9½ hours in port

Day 9 Philipsburg, St. Martin. With its colourful blend of French charm and Dutch hospitality, St. Martin is like two islands in one. From the bustling Dutch capital of Philipsburg your included tour takes you on an island sightseeing trip to the tiny, picturesque French capital of Marigot where you can explore its boutiques and outdoor cafes. If you prefer, take an optional snorkeling excursion to admire the tropical fish of Pelican Reef.

Approx: 10 hours in port
