ALTERNATIVE DINING
Some cruise lines call them speciality restaurants, we call them alternative. That’s because you don’t pay extra to dine there, and so they are a very real alternative. For most staterooms, reservations can be pre-booked before you cruise, with priority given to higher grades.
TABLE FOR TWO OR TABLE FOR 12? In all our restaurants you can sit where and with whom you wish. No formal seating, no formal dress code (for men, a collared shirt at dinner is fine), and no inflexible times for sittings. It’s all about choice. Your choice.
THE RESTAURANT Because the main restaurant should be as wonderful as all the other restaurants, ours features daily- changing menus with chef’s specials, along with daily changing views, thanks to glass doors that open to offer spectacular, alfresco dining.
MANFREDI’S Rare or well done? Both describe our traditional Italian restaurant that serves authentic Italian food and wines in a traditional setting that is anything but medium.
MAMSEN’S
Named after the mother of Viking's Founder and Chairman, Torstein Hagen, Mamsen’s is home to all things deliciously Norwegian, including open sandwiches of smoked salmon, and homemade waffles with jam – served on vintage china, just like Mamsen’s.
THE WORLD CAFÉ Japanese or French? Italian or Asian? Take a culinary journey around the world – with some of the best views in the world, thanks to sliding panoramic glass doors that lead on to the Aquavit Terrace.
AQUAVIT TERRACE Because one of the best ingredients of any meal is a sunny day, the Aquavit Terrace offers the perfect backdrop for dining alfresco.
