Your journey
Day 4 St. John’s, Antigua. Boasting 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, Antigua is blessed with year-round sunshine. Tucked away in a sheltered bay is its laid-back capital of St. John’s. From here, your included tour of the island takes you through tropical countryside, picturesque villages, rolling hills, and on to English Harbour where you can explore the island’s maritime history. Visit the beautifully restored Nelson’s Dockyard, and Shirley Heights’ Lookout, which offers fantastic views. Approx: 9½ hours in port
Day 5 Castries, St. Lucia. Recognised by the dramatic twin peaks of the Pitons and famous for its luxurious resorts, beautiful beaches, spectacular natural wonders and charming French Creole character, St. Lucia is one of the most seductive Caribbean islands. In Castries, enjoy an included drive around the city and up the soaring Morne Fortune for panoramic views. Take in more of the coastline, stopping at La Guerre, with its spectacular views of the Marquis Estate, once the largest banana plantation on the island. Continue on to Stony Hill to admire its stunning tropical gardens. Optional tours include an aerial tram ride through the lush rainforest, or a whale watching excursion. Approx: 10 hours in port
Day 6 Bridgetown, Barbados. Turquoise waters, coral reefs, palm- fringed beaches, a vibrant World Heritage capital, stunning natural scenery, proud and friendly people – welcome to Barbados. The island is known locally as Little England and still retains traces of its colonial past, including the occasional red phone box. Explore historic Bridgetown on an included tour that also takes you to the Highland Adventure Centre with its breathtaking views. Or visit Harrison’s Cave, with its flowing, crystal-clear waters and amazing hanging stalactites. Approx: 9½ hours in port
Day 7 Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe is a fascinating archipelago of islands. Named Butterfly Island for the way the two main islands resemble the wings of a butterfly, Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre can be explored on an included tour. Visit a local craft market in the commune of Saint-François, and admire the dramatic ocean views from Castle Point. Alternatively, you could choose to hike to the magnificent Carbet Falls.
