In March, a group of seven A Level Art students, accompanied by Head of Art Tracey Leigh, visited Venice for a long weekend. For four days the students were given the opportunity to work alongside artist Ian Murphy. Isha, Year 12, said: “We learned a whole new range of skills and a real appreciation for drawing in the open air. We even drew in the dark! The surroundings were so inspiring and captivating that it was an enjoyable mission to try to capture it. “The Venice experience was a huge motivation for us all and really made us see our own potential and what we can do if we remain focused and eager with every task.”
