The Pioneer Academy Principles
The following principles underpin The Pioneer Trust Mantra, promote success for children and guarantee improved outcomes in a Pioneer Academy, where we will ensure that everything is done to enable pupils and staff to achieve the best they can.
Promoting and achieving excellence - to inspire children and adults to achieve the extraordinary in dynamic learning environments that foster the development of independent learning
Insisting on the highest standards of behaviour and attendance - role modelled by all staff to shape the ethos and values of the school, support learning and promote achievement
Encouraging creativity and innovation - giving opportunities for risk taking and the exploration of new knowledge and concepts to grow a ‘can do’ and ‘no excuses’ learning culture
Recognising the importance of outstanding teaching and learning - to develop leaders of learning, create the reality and sustain high quality educational experiences which raise the self- esteem of all children enabling them to contribute positively to society
Promoting equality and diversity - to gain mutual respect through an understanding of the key values of justice and equality
Safeguarding, health, safety and welfare - to protect all children and adults
Working in partnership - across The Pioneer Academy, with parents and carers, other schools, agencies and business partners to provide innovative opportunities, national and international dimensions for staff and children to raise aspirations
About our School
Stewart Fleming Primary School is an Academy within the London Borough of Bromley, located in Witham Road, close to Birkbeck Rail station. The school is non-selective and non- denominational.
Our school opened on 1st September 1939, but due to the outbreak of the Second World War, it was not officially recognised until 2nd April 1940. It is named after Reverend Robert Stewart Fleming, a member of the then Beckenham Education Committee. We converted to become an academy on the 1st August 2011.
Facilities within the school include:
