School Uniform The expectation is that school uniform will be worn everyday which includes a shirt, tie, jumper and school shoes.

There is also a specific P.E. uniform. We ask that parents ensure that this is in school on the days that your child has P.E.

Specific information regarding uniform and where you can purchase items can be found as an additional sheet at the rear of this prospectus.

Special Educational Needs

At Stewart Fleming, we believe that children should have equal opportunity in and access to the National Curriculum. Children have a right to learn in a different way. Children should have an opportunity to learn through all their senses and to develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, artistically and physically.

We recognise that it is important to identify children with special needs as early as possible. This responsibility falls mainly to the class teacher and the TA, and is co-ordinated by the Inclusion Manager with advice from Subject Co- ordinators, Educational Psychologists, support services and other agencies.

We will also identify and give guidance for the teaching and learning of pupils who are of exceptional ability. It aims to provide for the inclusion of these children in the overall curriculum offered at the school and to develop their learning so they reach their full potential.

...and the main thing is learning’
