ow in their 75th season, Waterford Music are looking forward to four recitals in their Spring programme.


Baritone Gavan Ring takes a break from his busy operatic career to visit Waterford on March 2nd. He will be accompanied by Aoife O’ Sullivan (piano). French piano and cello duo Emanuelle Bertrand (cello) and Pascal Amoyel (piano) stop off on their Irish tour on Thursday March 30. For their 600th concert on Wednesday, 12th April, they will welcome back the Irish Chamber Orchestra to the Large Room in a joint venture with the Symphony Club of Waterford. They will close their season with string sextets with a high powered ensembles assembled by violinist Elizabeth Cooney on Tuesday, 16 May Waterford Music ticket prices remain great


value at €15, students €5 and a special family half season ticket is €75 for all four recitals.

aterford’s Stagemad Theatre Company are proud to announce the premiere of


Anna Jordan’s new play “The January Show” at Garter Lane Arts Centre this April 6th – 9th. Describing her latest stage play, Anna said,


“We all stumble across hard times in life and sometimes it’s how we deal with it that makes all the difference. “The play is a coming of age story told through music and memory of a young girl’s fight with obsession, sexuality, loss, dysfunction and the desire to overcome the whirl that is this world.”

Anna is a poet, writing facilitator, mother of


three and publican’s daughter. This is her first full play since ‘The Bannisters’ in 2012 and her fourth production with Stagemad. Anna is involved heavily in the arts scene


in Waterford with projects such as Waterford Walls, Modword open mic sessions, Spraoi and Waterford Youth Arts. “Waterford is an inspiration in itself and a wonderful place to be artistic,” she said passionately.
