2017 trends for your I

am a big believer in timeless design in inte- riors ..to a point. I think we all need a bit of sparkle and interest in our surroundings and

that can be achieved easily by following trends. We can’t all keep up with interior trends - use

everything that is in fashion and throw it all out next year for the next trend - but there are a few simple ways to keep us on trend and not tie us to that fashion. Dark strong green is a huge trend now and I

believe, here to stay for the foreseeable. For many it is a love or hate colour so using

green can be as little or much as you brave. A large rug, a feature wall of a paint colour

such as Colourtrend Verdant leaf or a textured wallpaper with green leafy print is a simple way of bringing the style without too much upheaval, simpler still is to use emerald green glassware on the dining table with white dishes. Tropical prints are all over the fashion runways

at the moment, which inevitably means they are making their way to interiors. Wallpaper, rugs and oversized cushions are a great way to introduce this beautiful style without overwhelming you with the tropical theme. Textures are also in trend but personally I think

this trend has always been important in design. Continued overleaf....
