JOIE DE VIVRE
The annual Maison&Objet show in Paris brings a fresh glimpse of trends in the design industry with the theme ‘Evolutions’. The organisers have improved four main elements: A redistribution of the textile offerings; the convergence of Cook+Design and Easy Living; new circulation routes and the relocation of the Espace Retail; and a new hub called Influences. 2-6 September.

LONDON CALLING
This month, industry insiders are flocking to The London Design Festival (17-25 September 2016), the premiere platform for the capital’s major trade shows. Exhibitions and events include: 100% Design; Decorex International; designjunction; Focus/16; and the London Design Fair (which includes Tent London & Super Brands); as well as the new LuxuryMade show dedicated to contemporary decorative interiors at Kensington Olympia’s Pillar and Upper Pillar Halls. Fredrikson Stallard will also present their Glaciarium collections, designed exclusively for Swarovski, during the London Design Festival 2016.
EXOTIC INSPIRATION DESIGN MERGER
Two of the UK’s top design events, Decorex International and the London Design Fair, are partnering this year. This collaboration between the two complementary shows will see both present their exhibition consecutively, with Decorex open 18-21 September and the London Design Fair open 22-25 September. A pass for either show will be valid at both.
