Free Tax Return Preparation Lisle Recreation Center
Volunteer tax preparers in the AARP Tax-Aide
Program will provide free tax filing assistance with special attention for persons age 60 and over. There is no charge for this service, available by appointment only at the Recreation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 2 - April 11, from 11am-3pm.
Call 630-969-0992 to schedule your tax appointment. Homebound assistance is available.
Be sure to bring the following with you: - Photo ID and social security card - Both spouses if you wish to eFile - 2015 tax return (both federal and state) - Interest statements (1099 int.) - Dividend statements (1099 div.) - Broker statements (1099B) - Social security benefits (SSA 1099) - Railroad retirement benefits - Unemployment compensation (1099-G) - W2 Forms, if employed - Pension/retirement statements (1099R)
- Know purchase date and what you paid for any stocks, bonds or mutual funds sold and their value at time of sale
- Information documenting your deductions: medical, dental, prescriptions, vision, medical mileage
- Long term care cost, nursing home expenses - Alimony records, WG gambling, 1099 - Misc K1 records
- Receipts for donations to charitable organizations, churches, etc. - Record of estimated tax payment (federal & state)
- Current real estate tax and points statement, mortgage interest and real estate tax bill with parcel number
- Checkbook and 201 register and a cancelled or blank check for routing purposes
