Fancy-Free Holidays Trip Oglebay Resort & Dickens Victorian

DAY 1 - We travel to Dublin, OH our home for the night. This evening, we will enjoy an included dinner, then continue to experience the Fantasy of Lights as we drive through this park decorated with over 200,000 Christmas lights.


DAY 2 - We continue into West Virginia and stop in Wheeling to have lunch on our own. We then visit the Mansion Museum, the original house at Oglebay Resort that is decorated for the season. We will then check into our hotel for the night followed by a guided behind-the-scenes tour of their Festival of Lights. We enjoy our included dinner then have a guided tour of their famous Winter Festival of Lights. There is time for shopping and a cordial gathering this evening with entertainment.


DAY 3 - This morning, we will visit the Glass Museum to see the local glassworks and an actual glass blower. Then it’s off to Cambridge, OH to celebrate their Dickens Christmas Celebration. Take a trip back in time and experience old-world England as their downtown is charmingly transformed into a Dickens Victorian Village. This afternoon, we will meet our costumed Dickens Guide who will escort us around Cambridge. We’ll visit the Dickens Welcome Center where we can dress in Victorian clothes and take some fun pictures. Then, we will continue to the Cambridge Glass Museum where we will have a guided tour showcasing over 8,000 pieces of beautiful Cambridge glass. Here we will also enjoy a behind- the-scenes tour and learn how the mannequins bodies and costumes are made. After our included dinner, we visit

clothing. The displays include engaging depictions of classic Dickens-era scenes and figures including Tiny Tim & Bob Cratchit. Carolers stroll the streets singing classic carols and there is a beautiful light show for the perfect evening.


DAY 4 - Having enjoyed our Oglebay & Dickens Christmas tour, we will make our way back home arriving in the early evening.
