Posters
Use the IET’s visual aids to bring engineering to life in your school or college.
Our popular range of classroom posters are available as a complete pack of materials. This pack includes reference posters on electricity and electronics, examples of some of the most innovative engineering around today, as well as engineering careers posters from Tomorrow's Engineers.
The exact contents of the pack will alter over time as new posters become available. Preview and order the posters at

Cybersecurity designing a safer digital environment
The cyber-physical environment
Our cyber-physical environment is the collection of physical and digital spaces in which we live. It includes things like buildings with computer controlled access, air conditioning and digitally controlled lifts. We need to design and construct our cyber-physical environments so that software errors and malicious attackers don’t cause us harm or inconvenience.
Cyberspace and the Internet
Cyberspace is the more common name for where data ‘is’ when it travels through a global network of computers. Stay safe online – choose strong passwords and check your privacy settings. Be aware of your digital footprint – everything you post online leaves a trace that can be seen by others.
Digital exploration Intelligent transport
Traffic management systems are a good example of intelligent transport; technology which transfers information between systems such as cars and roads for improved safety, productivity and environmental performance. These systems must run smoothly as well as be able to adapt to last minute changes in situation (e.g. child running out into the road).
Smart and future cities
New advances in communication are being used to create smart and future cities; improving life in urban environments. Buildings and systems could react and respond to our shifting needs, e.g. climate change and population growth. Structural and safety standards must be met whilst ensuring buildings are liveable.
Digital exploration allows humans to have a greater understanding of life on earth by studying other environments using technology, e.g. robot space exploration and undersea exploration.
