Choosing the right apprenticeship www.theiet.org/apprentices

Help your students to work out which apprenticeship is right for them. Apprenticeships offer qualifications and experience that can enable young people to flourish in an engineering career.

The apprentice section on the IET website is packed with advice on choosing the right apprenticeship, including details of IET accredited schemes. To gain IET approval, an apprenticeship scheme provider needs to have demonstrated that their training meets certain quality standards and that they are committed to helping apprentices progress and develop. They must also provide apprentices with the skills they need as a basis for professional registration.

Explore what’s available and help your students make the right choices.
