Q. Will you be promoting any particular products or services around the event? A. We have a huge number of new tours and awe-inspiring destinations to talk about with Travelsphere and Just You, and we now go to every continent, including Antarctica. Our cruise brands have launched their new seasons and we look forward to talking about the destinations we sail to and the experience our passengers enjoy on board our ships.
Q. Who will be representing you on the night? A. As well as me, our marketing director and trade team will be attendance.
Q. What’s your top tip for an agent attending the AAAs for the first time? A. Take a look at all the winners, work out why they have won the awards and plan what you need to do to be up there this time next year.
Q. What are your standout memories of previous AAAs? A. Meeting winners from previous years and seeing how their careers have progressed and how motivated they are to work in this fantastic industry.
Q. What experience do you have of winning awards and what does it mean to your business? A. Having won awards in previous years I know how exciting it is. I have been lucky enough to be involved in a number of the judging stages,
and what is always motivating is watching someone that you met as a young travel adviser developing through their career. Winning an award here shows people just how good you are.
Q. How do you see the future for the agency sector – both in the short term and long term? A. The agency sector is
extremely important to our industry and I can only see it continuing to grow. Agents need to be quick to adapt to what the customer is looking for in terms of experiences and destinations, and they can only do this by keeping up with all of the latest products that are available for sale. Specialism is key, along with tailored marketing campaigns to meet the needs of the
customer base. Operators value well-thought through partnerships.
Q. What song is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor at the spectacular AAA after- party? A. Anybody who has seen me on the dance floor would certainly not recommend a repeat performance!
