Contiki adds Deep South tour to US and Canada programme


Youth travel specialist Contiki features 34 trips across 37 states in its 2017 USA & Canada brochure. The programme features a new


Boot, Scoot ‘n’ Blues trip through America’s Deep South which takes in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. The 12-day itinerary includes a


bike tour of Austin’s music scene, a visit to Elvis’s house in Graceland and a trail ride in San Antonio. Prices start at £1,427. Also new for 2017 is an ‘ethical


travel experience’ on selected itineraries to Canada, including the 26-day Grand Northern, 13-day North by North East and 20-day Grand Canadian tours. Guests will visit Bata Shoe

of Tui Group’s specialist division Travelopia, was launched in October last year. It covers a range of tailor-made holidays from city breaks to self-drive tours. The editorially-led 2016-17


brochure includes tips from its dedicated US specialists and features a sample of itineraries, including ‘72 hours in’ Washington, Toronto and Santa Barbara.

strong Travelopia trade sales team and two US product executives are visiting at least 30 third-party agencies a day. Travelling in a campervan provided by US motorhome supplier Cruise America, they are delivering US sweets and Travelmood- branded hampers, and promoting campervan trips, a new feature of the programme.
