A quick word about my car – it is my daily drive taking me in and out of London and has just ticked over 170,000 miles. This was going to be the first time I was able to test its capabilities in a track environment. Everything unnecessary was emptied out, tyres and fluids checked and with a full tank of diesel the car was ready. With the sun setting towards the end of the day, not even a warning from the track marshals to ‘make sure you don’t hit anything, as we don’t want to be rebuilding tyre walls at this
