What is your role at the Chamber? I look after everything membership related, from looking after current members to recruiting new ones.

What is the best part of your role? I get to meet so many different people and build relationships with each member, as well as new relationships with potential chamber members. I also enjoy attending a variety of events organised by our events team and seeing our members making the most of the many networking opportunities.

What are your aims for Chamber events over the next 12 months? I would love to see the Chamber membership grow from last year’s increase, so I will be working hard to see new members join Devon Chamber, as well as looking to maintain our 80% retention rate with current members.


What did you do before working at the Chamber? My career history has been in hospitality so for me this is a complete side step, my previous role was Meetings and Events Sales Manager at a hotel in Exeter.


What do you do when you’re not at work? I enjoy running and am about to restart my half marathon training ready for 2017. Aside from that I enjoying spending time with family and friends.

Devon Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Ball, the final black tie event in the Chamber calendar, took place on Thursday 15 December at The Holiday Inn, Plymouth. Living up to expectations there was plenty


of excitement, sparkle and entertainment. Guests enjoyed prosecco on arrival, followed by a welcome from George Cowcher, CEO of Devon Chamber of Commerce who commemorated a successful 2016 before an exquisite festive three-course dinner.
