GOOD MORNING FROM GRAND ISLAND!
This is my final installment as your Chairman of the Nebraska Trucking Association and I would like to say thank you for allowing me to serve. It has been a very rewarding experience that I have enjoyed and will have many fond memories. The opportunity to work with industry professionals, from diverse backgrounds and unique opinions during my tenure on the Board of Directors has been personally very rewarding. A very special thanks to each of my fellow Executive Committee members, as well as our professional staff for all that you have done and do every day to help guide our industry and tell our story.

At our recent annual Fall Management Conference, I was able to introduce and welcome our new Chairman, Bob Winter from Distribution Incorporated, Lincoln, NE and our latest elected At-large Representative, Tim McCormick from Fremont Contract Carriers, Fremont, NE. I wish them well in their upcoming year(s) and by the time they have completed their terms, I’m confident that they, too, will tell you of the value they received by serving. Your Nebraska Trucking Association continues to be a driving force for advocacy, information and services for our industry. I’m very happy to have been a part of the leadership that has, throughout our Association’s history, worked together; spoke with one voice to make our industry stronger, safer and more profitable as we continue to provide the service to move America Forward.
I highly encourage everyone to get involved and support the many services, events and leadership opportunities this organization has to offer. Send your employees to the Nebraska Truck Driving Championships, Safety Management Council’s Lunch and Learns, Safety Summits, Nebraska SuperTech competition and the other programs that remain affordable and accessible to our members. To our Allied members who help sponsor these events, I can’t thank you enough. Without your ongoing support, the Association would struggle to put on the high quality and affordable programs that we benefit from locally. In return, we hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities to network and create personal relationships with your truck carriers. Together we can all make a better future and create strong alliances in across our state to continue our industry growth. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve!
