GREETINGS FROM LINCOLN!


I hope everyone is doing well. Since my last correspondence we’ve had a number of great events and many more planned for the upcoming program year. Starting with our recent Annual Fall Management Conference where we had some great informational/ learning sessions, a super time with Dueling Pianos after the banquet and then the opportunity to welcome on our new Chairman, Bob Winter and his team of Executive Committee members at our annual Board meeting. We closed the two-day event with some fun competition and prizes at the annual golf scramble. If you weren’t able to attend, we’ll cover it in this edition of the Nebraska Trucker with pictures and stories where you’ll see some familiar faces and functions of the event.


A huge shout out and thank you to our many sponsors that help support this annual event. We couldn’t do it without your sponsorships and attendance. Our hope is to provide you with a great value to assist with your company’s name recognition, that provide favorable introductions at event’s where trucking decision makers gather. Based on responses from individuals that were in attendance, I think we accomplished it again this year.


I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Terry and Lori McMullen, longtime members and supporters of the Association on winning the Distinguished Gentleman and Woman of Distinction award for their many efforts to create a favorable image of the trucking industry in their community. In this edition you will also find and I hope you’ll join me in congratulating our ‘of the year,’ award winners. It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by your industry peers for your dedication to your companies and our trucking industry.


Please keep an eye on our upcoming events calendar. We will be offering a variety of different educational opportunities on subjects that based on member input are concerning you most. This type of input and planning could not be accomplished without you and the great leaders that you choose to serve on our boards and councils. Please remember to thank them for their ideas and service when you see them at an event.


In closing, I would like to thank our NTA staff, the Executive Committee, Board members Council leaders and sponsors for all the hard work each year in planning and presenting the events over our annual program year. We could not provide the relevant, professional, affordable and accessible programs without their leadership and support.
