The 2016 WOMAN OF DISTINCTION
and JAMES E. RYAN GOLDEN DEEDS award winners are Lori and Terry McMullen of AIT Worldwide Logistics, Omaha, NE. Though they will never talk about
their successes, this husband and wife duo celebrated 25 years in business in July. They now own and operate a 250,000 sq ft. 3PL warehouse, a trucking company (TLK Transportation,) and are branch owners of a very successful freight forwarding operation - AIT Worldwide Logistics. While Terry and Lori are industry leaders in all three sectors of the industry, their success was earned through their hard work, integrity, leadership and involvement in their community. Congratulations to Lori and Terry on these well-deserved awards.
The Nebraska Trucking’s Woman of Distinction award recognizes individuals who have a lasting impact – women who stand tall as ambassadors of everything good about the people in this industry.
The James E. Ryan Golden Deeds award is named after Jim Ryan, a former attorney and lobbyist for the Nebraska Trucking Association. He was smart, droll, quiet, thoughtful, generous and a loyal friend to the trucking industry for all of his years. When he died, his estate plan included the largest single gift ever received by the Nebraska Trucking Foundation. And this is a guy who never owned a single truck. It’s that kind of character and loyalty we honor when we choose to recognize someone with the award named after Jim Ryan.
