RVT Publisher’s Life & Times:
Congratulations are in order to SaveOnFoods who,
as of November 18th, have three new outlets opening in Winnipeg Manitoba that will also be carrying this magazine! Where SaveOn goes we go, so a special Welcome to all the new Manitoba readers!
At the Abbotsford Snowbird RV Show I had a FABULOUS time chatting
with so many of you. Congratulations go out to Walter Pankev of Hope who won Te RV Times cap and the canister of Chocolate IsaLean Shake. Special thanks go to Pam Sikma from the Norwex display across from my RV Times booth who picked the winner for me. Feedback from many of you at that Show was very interesting. At all future RV Shows, please tell me what YOU like and don’t like and
what YOU want to see in this magazine in future editions. Seems the white-haired crowd does not use the Events of Interest pages
much but the younger crowd sure does! I was so surprised by that, thinking I would delete that section, but now I will leave it in for the younguns! Also, I do know seniors do not enjoy change very much and spend a lot of
time wishing things would always stay the same. I seem to be caught in the middle! I will be 70 years old in May so do belong to the senior generation BUT find I oſten do enjoy change. As you can see from a few pages in this edition, I am trying to “class up” the look of the magazine because I get too bored when things stay the same forever! Hang in there with m, OK? One youngun asked me if I would be open to feedback from the younger
generation? Yes I would! And send in articles too. You will be keeping the RV lifestyle happening so your opinion counts! Had one gent ask if anyone had ever done an RVing for Dummies book!
He was completely new to RVing and did not know the difference between white water and black water! So I asked around for material covering some RVing basics and you will see inside those who agreed to help! One gal wants TWO Word Search puzzles in each edition as when hubby
goes off fishing, she stays in the RV and loves to do puzzles, and enjoys the ones I produce the best! I told her I would put two in this edition, just for her, so check those out on pages 32 and 33. I think 99% support my column and reading about my non-RVing life! And the prize draw of the free Isagenix canister was well received by
MOST. Only a few expressed grieve that I did not have a knitted doll in the draw at the Show! Busy knitting sweaters for granddaugthers this Christ- mas. And special Tank You for all the support hugs! Tey were great. Many of the new Subscriptions chose the 3-year option so does that mean
you have me for at least another 3 years? Your faith in me is inspiring. In early October I participated in the yearly Run for the Cure which is a
money-raising event for cancer research and is held at the Victoria Univer- sity. I managed the 5km walk with relative ease which pleased me no end. Planning to get myself into the place where next year I can made that into a run instead of a walk! Tat would be a first but a great way to help celebrate my 70th year, eh? Want to do a whole bunch of FIRSTS next year. Remem- ber when I did that when I turned 47, as I was born in 1947 so wanted to make that a special year. Want to make my 70th year be full of experiencing new things too as they create great memories and conversation pieces! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Luv Ya! Sheila
