cool all our bodies down before returning to the roller coasters. We returned back to the trailers around 7:30pm to find Jayden feeling much better and eating. We packed up camp in preparation for our long drive to Yellowstone the next morning. We headed out at 7am on a partly cloudy morning,

perfect weather for travelling. My kids wound up sleeping most of the day as they had brought pil- lows on this stretch of the drive. For the first time in history, we had no arguments over music. My oldest daughter Kayla made 14 music CD’s for the trip, with a full variety of music from each of our likings. Te deal was that if she did a good mix we would listen to all songs without skipping forward any songs I don’t like. She did a great job and I suffered through all the songs I couldn’t stand. We finally arrived in the Yellowstone area and saw the sign for Rainbow Point Campground. Everyone was getting excited for the last four miles, until it became a washboard gravel road. Our trucks and trailers became very dusty and dirty. Te mosquitoes were horrible but the deer were plentiful. Te sites were heavily treed so we had to line up the slides between them and the awning could only go out about 5 feet. Day 1 we went into West Yellowstone to the Visitor

Center to get enough info to plan the next few days. We loaded up on pamphlets and crossed the parking lot to the IMAX building, looked around the giſt shop and as we did on our Grand Canyon trip, we watched the IMAX film explaining the sights were about to see over the next few days. Tey also had a promotion, buy an IMAX ticket and get Jurassic World ticket for only $5. Te kids and dads were very happy to watch this film on the IMAX screen.

Day 2 we planned to sight see all the way to Old Faithful and ABBY SPRING SERVICE LTD.

return around 3pm. Our first day exploring did not let us down with the geysers, steam vents, boiling mud pitts, the incredible colours in the different water pools and especially the wildlife. Like the bison crossing the road in front of our trucks. We pulled over to take pictures of a bison grazing on the other side of the river. Aſter we snapped a few pictures, he decided to cross the river and continue walking towards us. We slowly walked backwards, but as he began to walk fast in our direction, we all picked up our speed and headed towards the trucks. Te bison came up the hill and crossed over the road behind our trucks, and into the grassy area on the other side. We thought we gave a great distance of space, but the bison can change that in a spit second. Yellowstone is full of bison in every area and elevation, to the point that we stopped pointing them out to each other. We also saw elk, bears, coyote, deer, jumping trout in the river, and the part that made me jealous was all the fishermen fly-fishing in all areas of the river within the national park. When I return to Yellowstone in the future, it will be with my fly rod in hand! Hours later we made it to Old Faithfull and first on the agenda was lunch. We found a shady spot on the side of the ranger station and filled our tummies. Next we explored the buildings and claimed our seat to wait for the Old Faithful to blow. Within a minute or two of the pre- dicted eruption time, she blow, with countless cameras recording her show. I must admit, it was pretty cool to see the forces of our earth release like that. We then returned to camp around our estimated time when happy hour begins and the lounge chairs come out, but not until a can of bug spray was emptied out onto each family. Now we planned the next day in the park. Day 3 we headed in the opposite

direction and drove northeast stopping at all the geysers and waterfalls on the way to Norris, where had lunch at Inspiration lookout area. Day 4 we headed to the north en-

trance to see the sights in Momouth and all the stops on the way. We had lunch in the shade of a large tree and decided to head east to see more of this great park. We climbed to an elevation of over 9,000 ſt. Te scenery changed with every corner or hill we crossed, always beautiful with the wild flowers
