While we were staying at one of our favourite campgrounds, I caught Brent of Calgary with his wife Jacquie and two daughters Emily and Amanda building their portable dog
compound. Te fenced area encloses the entire tent trailer. Teir three dogs can run free and are included in the family activities without a tangled web of leashes. Brent says the
compound is still a work in progress. He wants to reduce the fence height by half and find
free-standing posts to support the fence rather than having to pound them into the ground. Te compound takes about 15 minutes to set up and should be even less when he gets
