CED Update

Fall is upon us and of course that brings “season” busyness, budgets and board elections…not to mention managing the return of the snowbird owners and winter renters. You’ve got your hands full!

We hope you enjoyed our inaugural issue of “CAI Community Voice” in August – and that this issue will provide you with even more thought provoking and stimulating ideas as well as useful information that assists your community and helps you become a more effective leader. Once again, I encourage all CAMs to share their success stories and insights with us in our “Manager to Manager” column, and our Business Partners to submit articles that are instructional and informative in your field of expertise. We also encourage you to submit to our “In The Spotlight” column when your community or business has been recognized for outstanding accomplishment. This is a “community” publication!

The 2017 CAI National Conference & Exposition will be held May 3-6 in Las Vegas. Let me encourage Board Members to consider providing this opportunity for your Manager. Each conference is jam-packed with classes and seminars that provide further education, affirmation and validation of the work he or she does and sends them home renewed with constructive ideas for your community association. Well worth the investment! Registration information can be found at: caionline.org.

CEU education for 2017 is going to be stimulating and diverse. We have a great year lined up for you! Our Social/Networking Committee is creatively planning special events throughout the year which will provide you with some down- time, some laughter and a lot of great fellowship with your peers.

South Gulf Coast’s holiday party will be a brand new event this year. Held on Thursday, December 8th at beautiful Mediterra Country Club, the venue is less formal, the price is right, and we invite everyone to join us in celebrating a great year of change & growth for South Gulf Coast Chapter along with the announcement of this years’ Member awards.

The chapter Annual Meeting will be held at the December 14th Board of Directors meeting at Cypress Woods Country Club from 8:30-10:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served. Details and sign-up will be provided in October.

That’s it for now! I wish you all a blessed, happy and peaceful holiday season and new year.
