The south-central office of CBRE has appointed David Mathieson as a director in its specialist markets valuation team. He will be responsible for valuation advisory work principally across the south with an emphasis on healthcare and private education.
Nigel Taylor (second left), founder and chairman of Fareham- based Taylor Made Computer Solutions, is picking up the reins of his company with a senior-level restructuring which includes two new appointments to the board. He is back running the IT company he founded with his wife Aly (second right) more than 20 years ago, following the departure of managing director Tim Walker, who is looking for a change of direction and leaves the business at the end of September. Joining the board as finance director is Joe Jeffers (left), who has spent many years in industry and private practice, and Matt Faulkner (centre), who assumes the role of technical director having been promoted internally. Experienced media specialist Jeff Travis has joined the team at Hampshire-based public relations consultancy Polymedia as a senior consultant. With more than 12 years’ experience in regional media, he brings a wealth of contacts and experience in news and feature writing, further strengthening Polymedia’s blend of marketers, digital and social media specialists and former journalists. Travis will work across a range of Polymedia’s professional services and leisure clients.
South Coast law firm Trethowans has strengthened its agricultural and rural property team with the appointment of Grainne Alen-Buckley as a partner. Alen-Buckley, who has nearly 20 years’ experience in the legal industry, will be based in the Salisbury office although her remit will see her working for clients across the south, including Winchester and London, where she used to work.
CVR Global, a leading insolvency and restructuring firm, has strengthened its presence in Southampton with the opening of a new office and appointment of Simon Lowes (centre) to its partner team. Lowes is a licensed insolvency practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in the insolvency and business recovery sector. He joins Matthew Fox (right) as CVR Global’s second partner based in Southampton. During his career, Lowes has worked for both national and regional insolvency and recovery firms based on the South Coast, covering all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency. Three experienced construction professionals have been recruited from Dorset-based firms to join the expanding team at Amiri Construction in Fareham. John Marsh from Southbourne returns to Amiri after a four-year break as a senior quantity surveyor, to work on a project at Eastleigh College. Richard Hampson from Bransgore becomes the company’s financial controller after various management accountancy roles over four years with McCarthy & Stone. Heading furthest east is Kevin Green from West Parley who was a surveyor for nine years with a Hamworthy- based contractor and is working on a new £4-million headquarters building in Littlehampton.
Business rescue and recovery company Quantuma has strengthened its presence on the South Coast with the appointment of Elliott Turner as business development director. He will be working with accountants and law firms, helping clients facing financial uncertainty.
