Devon Chamber Awards shortlist is announced

The Devon Chamber Awards, sponsored by Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, Cosmic, Plymouth Citybus, City College Plymouth, Ashfords LLP, Cornwall College Business and Redrok UK, have returned for 2016. Celebrating the success of Chamber members in Devon, the Awards aim to recognise businesses which have made a positive contribution to the local business community. This year’s Devon Chamber Awards will be celebrated at a Black Tie event at The Duke of

Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth, on Friday 16 September. Aiming to build on the success of last year’s fun-filled event, this year’s awards ceremony will have a Willy Wonka theme and include entertainment and a number of surprises to add to the celebrations. James Heath, Partner and Head of Plymouth office at Ashfords LLP, said: “Ashfords is delighted to

be sponsoring this year’s Devon Chamber Awards. As sponsors of the 'Business Person of the Year' category we’re pleased to be demonstrating our close relationship with the business community.”

Offering a safe

way to store data We all know and appreciate how important it is to keep our electronic personal & confidential data safe and secure. We have passwords, Firewalls, backups and numerous other media to keep our information away from others. But what if you are a business that produces

large quantities of paper based information such as clients’ files, accounts and highly sensitive material which has to be kept for a number of years for legal or industrial requirements. Where do you keep it? Do you have an attic, a basement or outhouse? Is this a safe and secure environment for your clients’ personal information? In reality, the answer is probably no! There is a solution to this dilemma.

Westcountry Storage Solutions provide a cost effective way to securely store paper-based information. They are housed in a purpose built storage facility which is fully insulated and protected by 24/7 CCTV and alarm systems. The company has also attained ISO 27001:2013, an internationally known accreditation which is specifically for the safe storage of data. Westcountry Storage Solutions will provide a

weekly collection and delivery service of boxes or files to and from the client. They can assist clients with setting up systems to record the archiving of files, provide a tailor-made confidential shredding service and can install lockable shredding cabinets in the clients’ office.
