MEMBER NEWS On top of the winner’s podium
An international motor racing team has put Plymouth-based business technology provider ITEC in pole position for managed print and document solutions, having appointed the firm ‘official document technology supplier’. The Sahara Force India Formula 1™ team, successfully led by
drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg, is using ITEC’s managed print and document solutions to revolutionise its back office operations.
ITEC has signed a multi-year deal with the team to provide a customised
fleet of Xerox multifunction, scanning and production print devices to fit the most exacting requirements. Long-established ITEC is headquartered in Bristol and has offices throughout the UK in London, Manchester, Exeter, Bournemouth and Redruth, Cornwall – as well as Plymouth. Chief Executive Nick Orme (pictured) said: “There are
few more demanding environments than at the pinnacle of motorsport. “Winning this contract was a real thrill and underlines
our belief that we are firmly at the forefront of what we do. ITEC is genuinely proud to be helping Sahara Force India Formula 1™ streamline its paper and imaging
processes” In addition to the devices themselves, the Formula One team will benefit from ITEC’s industry-leading support services, which include: 24/7 proactive monitoring, ongoing scheduled field maintenance, document security tools and a fully-
staffed expert helpdesk. Sahara Force India Formula One’s IT Analyst Paul Bendrey said: “The document management and printing challenges faced in Formula 1 and the benefits which can be achieved are the same as for many other businesses. “With the support of ITEC, we will be
able to improve the quality of documents produced in house while also reducing the costs. “Every pound saved is a
