insulation; heating, ventilation & services Perfect acoustics for conferences
Hotel Koldingfjord enjoys a beautiful location near Kolding in Denmark. The attractive Baroque building, originally a sanatorium for children, has been extended and upgraded by Arkitema Architects. This includes the installation of Troldtekt acoustic ceilings in an existing space converted to accommodate up to 250 conference guests. The result is a stunning facility which makes Koldingfjord one of the best conference hotels in Denmark. The new facility has been designed to blend in with the existing Baroque buildings which are listed. The two identical rooms, both being extremely light and airy, have been designed and equipped to provide the very best facilities for conferences. Danish manufactured Troldtekt acoustic tiles are specified throughout the UK and Europe and can be delivered as either FSC® or PEFC certified panels. Manufactured using 100 per cent natural wood fibres, their benefits include high sound absorption, high durability, natural breathability, low cost life cycle performance and sustainability. The panels are widely used to improve acoustics in many different projects, such as meeting rooms, schools, leisure centres, pools, commercial and public buildings. Available in various sizes and in three grades from ultrafine to coarse, they can be left unpainted or painted in virtually any RAL colour. floor plate. Floor based air conditioning was originally specified for the 8th floor as an option that would bring cooling to the inner areas of each deep space floor area; whilst maximising headroom in the building with a restrictive 2.8m slab to underside slab height. AET Flexible Space has continued to work with developers over twelve years to provide low energy air conditioning and a thermally comforting solution to the multi-tenanted, twelve storey building.

www.flexiblespace.com Introducing the New P3 Hybrid Gas Fire
The Paragon P3 Hybrid fire from Charlton & Jenrick is a natural gas, manual control, convector gas fire combining the performance of a highly-efficient glass-fronted fire with the charm of an open-flame gas fire. The new Hybrid technology brings high-efficiency performance combined with the appeal of a
welcoming open-flame fire, which was first developed in the Paragon P7 hole-in- the-wall fire and now used for this 16x22” fire. The fire comes with a very realistic coal flame effect and offers a very impressive 4.9kW output from its 7kW input. This gives an extremely impressive 70.8 per cent Net efficiency to the most current British Standards BS 7977-1:2009+A1:2013.
enq.200 Trench heating and tubular radiators
Normally used in offices and large buildings Gunning’s trench heating is now becoming very popular in domestic projects. Its unobtrusive design used mainly behind full glazed walls is the perfect solution for keeping warm those hard to heat areas and saving valuable wall space. The even distribution of heat along the glass perimeter prevents down draughts, cold spots and condensation. Gunning’s specially designed tubular radiators are low level heating units which are very small in size but due to
the large surface area of the spiral finns give an excellent heat output. Gunning’s Tubular radiators are available in five sizes.

enq.197 Vortice launches new heat recovery units
Vortice has announced the launch of the NRG EC and NRG ECR commercial heat recovery units. These energy efficient units offer a choice of thermal wheel or horizontal cross flow heat exchangers, are quick and easy to install and have low power consumption. With a flow rate from 0.028m3/s to 2.22m3/s, their backward curved
centrifugal impellers work hard to ensure fresh and efficient indoor air quality. There are EH versions of both ranges which come complete with wired control panels and LCD screen which allows for integration into Building Management Systems – free heating and night cooling functions are also provided.
