Aluprof on prestigious North West project
One New Bailey is a new office development in Salford on the north bank of the River Irwell, situated next to Spinningfields and close the Lowry Hotel. The development is part of New Bailey, a new business and leisure hub within the growing area of Salford Central and offers 125,000 sq ft of prime commercial space. Aluprof ’s ‘cap-less’ curtain wall system, the advanced MB-SR50N EFEKT was used on all elevations of the new build and the fabrication and installation of the curtain wall was undertaken by CSi, Commercial Systems International, of Humberside. One New Bailey, was developed by English Cities Fund (ECf ), working closely with Salford Council and is funded and is owned by Legal & General. The building was designed by Aedas RHWL architects, who also are responsible for the masterplan of the area. With large, regular and efficient floor- plates, averaging over 17,000 sq ft (net), designed specifically for flexibility and to facilitate split tenancies, the One New Bailey development has achieved a Grade A, BREEAM 'Excellent' rating. Leading international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has announced that it will be leasing 80,000 sq ft within the building as the long term base for its Global Centre. The highly anticipated Menagerie restaurant will occupy one of the ground floor units, making this a truly mixed use scheme.
