How it began


DeVito’s restaurant was founded in 1986 by Jim DeVito.


A Wisconsin native with Italian heritage, Jim DeVito grew up in Illinois. He joined the Army during WWII and served in Germany.


After the war, Jim was transferred to Camp Robinson in North Little Rock, which is where he met Mary Alice Raney, a Harrison native.


The couple married in 1947 and spent the next 23 years entrenched in Army life.


In 1970, Jim retired from the military.
