ife as Margie Raimondo knows it would never exist if it was not for her Sicilian grandfather who


immigrated to America.


Her memories with him are vivid: they’d sit outside on handmade


picnic tables in California, the smell of grandma’s Italian cooking wafting from the kitchen, the sound of baseball playing on the radio. Grandpa Marty affectionately called Margie ‘Bella Mia’ which translates into “my beautiful’ and he would lead his granddaughter to the wine barrel where he was crafting wine.
