Rockport Marine in Rockport is work-


ing on several transient boats and fi nishing up their winter projects. The big project this winter was on the


41-foot Concordia SPICE. She was in and received a new keel, some fl oors, and all new frames. They also replaced planking as needed, keel bolts, and did some interior work. She will be over in July. Outside is a Paul Gartside designed

have three new boats and a restoration proj- ect in the main shop as well as another boat in the mould. GINA ANN is a 38 foot sport fi shermen,


and she was in for some minor upgrades and cosmetic work. They picked up the engine and raised it 1½ inches so that she did not set on the bottom of the boat; they added a center door in the middle of the winter back; reconditioned her shaft and wheel; added a fi sh box, and painted the topsides. She was expected to be out early in July. A 32 foot hull is nearing completion as


a pleasure boat in the main shop. She has four berths, head, settee and galley for ac- commodations and is powered with a 425 hp Cummins diesel engine. She will be going over in July. Another 32 footer was sent out as a


kit boat and headed to the North Shore of Massachusetts to be fi nished. The 32 in the mold will be also going


out as a kit boat. She will be fi nished by her owner who is from New Hampshire. Two more 32s are on the schedule to


be laid up and fi nished. Also in the yard is another 32 which is being fi nished off by a local fi sherman and was scheduled to be in the water in July. Just ordered was a Holland 40, which


is a stretched 38, and this, will be going to a commercial fi sherman in Cushing. She will be started this fall.


Morgan Bay Boats in Penobscot is


nearing completion on a Northern Bay 41. She is being fi nished out as a sportfi sherman for a customer from New Jersey. Down below she has a stateroom with a V-berth, galley, and guest berths all fi nished with mahogany in the Herreshoff style. She will be powered with a 670 hp Volvo diesel engine. She is scheduled to be completed mid-summer. Right behind her is another 41 being
