By the time you read this report all our league bowling has come to a conclusion and it is great to report that our SABA Lancasters team achieved top spot in the Harrier Division and will be promoted to the next division next year. Our SABA Blenheims played a hotly contested last match, where the winners of their league would be decided. In the event, we were unable to beat the eventual league winners.
In the Valencian Championship League First Division our Lions ended in second place, but our Tigers, despite some hotly contested games, were unable to maintain a good position in their league.
During the summer months our players have been involved in the SABA knockout competitions and it is pleasing to see so many Quesada representatives reaching the finals weekend in September where semis and finals will be played.

This month we welcome several new bowlers to our Club, John
and Caroline Smyth and Peter Morgan, all of whom have enjoyed extensive bowling careers in the U.K.
Currently our competitions committee member Terry Morgan is running a monthly singles competition which is a first for us and which Terry has brought with his experience previously of bowling on the Costa del Sol.
Tuesday evenings is our social and skills evening, again organised by Terry Morgan with the assistance of Jackie Breslin and Dave Donovan, and is proving attractive to our members; culminating with a hearty tapas meal at the end.
Our Saturday morning ‘Chicken Drive’ is open to visitors. Players wishing to take part should report at 9.45am for a 10am start.
