Everything’s Relative Despite an almost infinite number of possible ancestors, it is no coincidence that these top horses are so often related to other horses from this small and exclusive sample. In addition, the degree of ‘blood’ so obviously required in the modern sport horse is supplied by relatively finite number of horses of Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Selle Français and Anglo- Arab ancestry.
