Paul Laughter, Etix Associate Director

As an Associate Director on the Board of the Federation, it is my obligation to make sure Associate Members’ ideas and con- cerns are heard. All Associate Members should feel free to reach out to me at 919- 653-0507 or paul@etix.com. I’m happy to help in any way I can. I gathered from

many of you that the scavenger hunt game was a success and boosted traffic to your booths. I look forward to implementing that game again at next year’s convention. I’d also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Associate Director Kathy Ross to the Federation Board along with all of the new officers and members elected this year.

It’s already June and with the Federation Convention and IAFE

Zone II Meeting in the history books, summer is upon us. sure to The arrival of summer, for many associates like me who work with Fairs around the country, means busy season is here. I wish you all much success and I hope to see you next year in Orlando!

sions has been elected Associate Di- rector of the Florida Federation of Fairs. Kathy grew up in 4-H showing Hol-

stein dairy cows, graduated nursing school and fell in love with a boy in the food concession business over 30 years ago. They have one son AJ. Together Jeff and Kathy operate

Ross Concessions and work fairs in Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York. Kathy is on the board of directors of

NICA whose mission is to increase the communication between fair management and vendors. Kathy has been involved in FFF for many years and sees it as

the opportunity to better understand the reason why fairs do the things they do is so valuable. Also the opportunity to socialize when neither party is “working.” When not working Kathy likes to cook and spend time with family and friends.
