Attendance up! Carnival up! Spirits up! What a GREAT year at the Osceola County Fair.
This year at the 72nd Annual Osceola County Fair & Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show we celebrated Heritage
Pride, Community Wide, and our surrounding communities of Orange, Osceola, Polk, and be- yond showed up in amazing fashion. With over 110,000 attendees, and 14% more carnival riders than 2015, Strates Carnival Company and our- selves are so excited for the wonderful response we got from the community. Our livestock sales were up significantly, which just reassures our belief and commitments to the Central Florida livestock and agricultural communities. We con- tinue to support non-market animal education as well with over $500,000 in awards and prizes given away over the course of our ten-day fair.
Beautiful weather, wonderful enter-
tainers from Richard Barker the In- credible Hypnotist to Rosaire’s Racing Pigs, Paul Bunyan’s Lumber- jack
Show, The Sweeney Brothers Band, and so much more. Even new events, like the Flor- ida State Clogging Expo, Telemundo’s Sports Night featuring some of Orlando’s best professional sports teams including, Orlando City Soccer, Orlando Magic, Or-
Collier County Fair The Collier County Fair cele- brated “40 Fabulous Years of Fun” in 2016. This year we introduced our mobile app to our fair goers and included a
scavenger hunt that revolved around the num- ber “40.” In addition to that throughout the 11 days of the fair we had a prize patrol person going around and handing out prize boxes to random people every day. We had little prizes to BIG prizes and all you had to do was come to the fair. This year our fair fell on Easter Sun- day and we did a big Easter egg hunt in our
lando Predators, and Houston Astros who all graciously took over a section of the fair to provide entertainment and education about their teams. With so many new and exciting events coexisting with our staple entertainment and competitions, we are so pleased with the re- sponse and turnout of the community. The Osceola County Fair and Kis-
simmee Valley Livestock Show exists as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that functions year-round to try to aggregate and exemplify what makes our Central Florida community great. With the old traditions and new ones, new partners and long-time ones— we would like to thank each and every person who helped make this another
amazing year to be at the Osceola County Fair. February 2017 is just over the horizon, and we hope you join us then for even bigger thrills!

parking lot with an amazing amount of people attending. We were blown away by the huge attend-
ance! Our “40th” year contained a lot of firsts for us. We introduced our fair patrons to our STEAM Tent and the Virtual Reality Sand Box. What a great hit that was and continues to be as we introduce it into the community and fair community. The Livestock Team totally transformed our livestock barn set up and this turned out to be a big hit. We had more people attend shows, visit our garden and hang out in our barn than ever before. Reithoffer Shows brought out the new Galaxy Rollercoaster
which proved to be a great hit among our pa- trons. Fair attendance was up and we had a very
good fair. Our board is already looking to next year and making things bigger and better with the expansion of our midway and a STEAM/ Family Living Building in the works.
