WILLIAM HAMILTON “Bill” PRUITT


9-23-1929—5-22-2016 Born in Miami, Bill played football for the University


of Florida where he met his wife Ginger who pre- deceased him in 1998. After law school he practiced law with his father and then his father-in-law. He practiced law for 61 years and remained active in his office every day until his death. Bill served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce


of the Palm Beaches for many years and was its Presi- dent in 1987. Bill coached youth baseball and served on numerous PTA Boards. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion and YMCA. He was a founding member of the Governors Club, and belonged to the Tuscawilla Club. Bill was a Board Member and Trustee for the South Florida Fair and Exposition from


1991 until 2005, serving as the Chairman of that Board from 1999 to 2001. At the time of his death, Bill was still involved as a Distinguished Trustee with the Fair.


He is survived by his four children and five grandchildren. Please help us honor and recognize our friends in the Fair industry who pass away during the year by sending their names and
