The festival grounds include two fabulous stages; the ex- pansive valley stage, which highlights the main stage acts and the intimate village stage, which features other talented artists. Be sure to stop at the special arts and crafts village while dancing your way be- tween the two convenient stag- es. Additionally on Friday and Saturday, get your groove-on in the late-night dancehall indoor pavilion. Check out the infor- mative workshops on Saturday and Sunday during the daytime for a well-rounded festival ex- perience. Unplug and unwind for the weekend with the plethora of music-centric activities.

According to their website, “The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival promotes ‘con- scious’ music. Conscious mu- sic is music with a message of peace, unity and brotherhood, which transcends the divisions of race and culture.” This fun annual event embod-

After trick-or-treating, a teen takes a shortcut home through the cemetery. Halfway across, he’s startled by a tapping noise coming from the misty shadows. Trembling with fear, he spots an old man with a hammer and chisel, chipping away at a headstone.
“I thought you were a ghost,” says the relieved teen. “What are you doing working so late?”
“Oh, those idiots,” grumbles the old man. “They misspelled my name!”
