Jean Collins,
Lic.Ac.
ean Collins
Lic.Ac, a practitioner for 33 years, will explain the dynamicsof Classical 5 Element Acupuncture and the energetic impact of the seasons (elements) on our body/mind/spirit from 11:30 to 5:30 p.m., June 11. An acupuncture treatment clinic will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 12, at Thrive Wellness, in Kingston.
Participants will learn how to prepare for the energetic transition from spring to summer (fire). Flowers, vegetables and trees grow and mature just as we grow and mature during this time. Collins asks, “This transition poses the questions, ‘How do we maintain our joy? Do we have joy? What robs us of our joy?’” Workshop participants will study the organs and meridians associated with the fire element, including the Heart/Small Intestine and Heart Protector/Triple Burner. Collins will discuss their functions on a physical level and how they affect our mental and emotional well-being.

Diagnostic Melissa Crispell, CNS,CNHP
Imaging/Health Through Aware- ness will host a free Functional Nutrition we- binar, Healthy Gut, Healthy Life, from 7 to 8 p.m., June 22, featuring guest
speaker Melissa Crispell, CNS, CNHP. She will reveal the five steps needed to revive health and feel better naturally. Participants will learn how gut health dramatically influences our well-being, and the role of food in helping or harm- ing resistance to chronic inflammation and disease. She says, “Gut health describes ef-
fective digestion and an optimal state of well-being. Our digestive tract acts as a guardian between the outside world and the internal workings of our bodies. If this barrier is healthy, it allows nutri- ents into the body while blocking for- eign invaders. If the barrier is unhealthy, the digestive material can bypass this process, and even healthy food could be seen as a threat. This threat triggers your body's immune response and can lead to food sensitivities and chronic systemic inflammation.”
Crispell is a nationally recognized clinical nutritionist, certified wellness coach, certified natural healthcare practitioner, clinical trainer for PERQUE Integrative Health and partner of First State Health & Wellness, with six loca- tions in Delaware.
Admission is free. For more information or to register, call 856-596-5834 or visit tdinj. com and choose Webinars and Events.
